A day at nan and pops...........

The other day we popped over to my parents place to spend the day with them and my dad always takes Aaron down to the back yard to feed the chooks with him and check how the veggies are going... and the corn was ready to pick so we all went to to the garden and picked the veggies that were ripe and ready here are some pics.....

Steves ute

Over the past few months my husband has been doing himself up a work Ute when he first brought it home i didn't know why he had bothered to me it didn't look worth doing up to me the side panels where dented so bad scratches everywhere i almost killed him for getting but he assured me that it would all be OK and he was going make it look great! I really didn't see how it was possible but i just agreed and said yes dear...
He was out side working on his ute everyday he put soooo many hours into it!

   The ute before to much work went into it..... doesnt look that bad on that side it was the other side that was the worst!

well i have to say with all the work that was put into the Ute it definitely paid off i was wrong to doubt my husband he has done a wonderful job and a BIG thank you to our great neighbor nice job!!!

 

well now just got to get it on the road register it and Steve will have his work Ute even tho now i think it is too good now for a work Ute!! 

AARON'S 2nd BIRTHDAY!!

Well Aaron birthday was a blast everyone had a great day!! I thought the cake and the pinata was the best part the kids loved them!! All our family and friends were there it was a great day!!

I have been think of starting a party cake making little business for kids partys just making certain cake i know i am able to make and maybe doing lollie bags up aswell maybe even pinata not sure yet but could be something for me to do seeings i dont work and i live in a small rural area i think it would be fun!!

More party stuff...

I have finished the pinata today just have fill it on the day and put the lid on!!

This was as i was stating to cover the pinata in tissue paper i covered it in large strips of green tissue paper first let it dry completely then started to do the finish it with the dots and frilly bits!

For the frilly bit i just got a strip of the green tissue paper and cut strips making sure i didn't cut all the way up i left enough room to glue it down to the pinata and made sure i didn't glue over the dots!

finished pinata not too bad for a home made one i thought!


I also made my own happy birthday banner instead of buying one and this i can reuse for next year!

For this banner i went and bought 2 pieces of green and 2 blue big bits of cardboard from the newsagents then i found 2 different size bowls not too (big though) then traced around them alternating the colors for each one cut them all out laid  them out so they green blue green blue... then put the smaller circle of the opposite color on top then i just done the letters and glued them on punched holes on each side of the circles and tried together with ribbon!!

Yesterday we decided to go over to Tin can Bay  to go fishing and have a day out of the house! It was great to get out of the house and be in the sun.  My son Aaron had a ball playing in the water and sand. My husband Stephen had a good time fishing even though he didn't catch anything but we all had a great day out!!

Today i have been working on the pinata and banner i have been making for Aaron's birthday on Friday and party sat!!

Aaron will be 2 and we are having a Dinosaur party so i thought instead of buying a pinata i would attempt making one i thought a dinosaur theme i would do a dinosaur egg pinata. so i blow up a balloon,cut up some news paper into strips and mixed up some glue with 1cup plain flour and 2cups water mix together place a strip of news paper into glue and remove excess then place on balloon i done a layer at a time let dry then did another layer but put the paper the opposite way to make it stronger then for the batten i just masking taper 5 empty toilet rolls together and paper Masha that a few times! To decorate it i bought some tissue paper yellow and green i will cover it with the green tissue paper then add yellow spots hopefully it works out doing a few more layers before i start to decorate it!
